Entry Open: Saturday, July 10

Deadline
Electronic submission and email deadline is 11:59 p.m. CST, Saturday, August 14, 2010. Postmark deadline is Friday, August 13, 2010. In-person deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, August 13, 2010.

Image Type
Photos submitted online must meet the following requirements: Photo must be either a GIF, BMP or JPG/JPEG format. Maximum size must not exceed 1,000 pixels wide. Photos must be 200 dpi. Entire file size must not exceed 5 megabytes. Color photos are preferred.

Entry Info
Entry fee is $10 per vehicle. One photo per vehicle will be accepted. Owner's name, address, phone number and signature are required. Address and phone number are for contact purposes only and will not be published. Acknowledge photographer copyright, if any.
Description of vehicle must include year, make, model, if the vehicle is a replica, and notation of any modifications. No vehicle will be disqualified by this information. Only 500 characters of the description will be allowed online.
Photos submitted online must pay via Paypal at the end of the entry page. Photos submitted by email will be held until payment is received by mail or in person. In person submissions must be paid up front.
Submit your photo(s) online at www.my605.com/hotrod from Saturday, July 10 – Saturday, August 14, or email your entry to HotRodContest@aberdeennews.com. Photos may also be submitted by mail. Send your photo(s) to: Hot Rod Contest, 124 South Second Street, Aberdeen, SD 57401. Include the completed entry form along with your photo. If you would like your photo returned, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Three winners, one in each category, will be published in the Sunday, August 29 issue of the American News.

Prizes
Winners of each of the three categories will be awarded a trophy, $50 and have their photo taken with the vehicle.

Voting Gallery
Voting will open 12:01 a.m., Sunday, August 15, 2010, through 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010. One vote per category (Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles) per registered user of www.aberdeennews.com. Must be 18 years or older to vote. The entry receiving the most votes in its category wins.

Rights
By submitting material to the American News/Farm Forum (American News Co.), you give the American News/Farm Forum (American News Co.) a non-exclusive, unlimited license to edit your work and to publish and republish your work in any medium any number of times. This license includes a non-exclusive license of any copyrights you have in the work so that the American News/Farm Forum (American News Co.) can protect your work from unauthorized copying or infringement by other people. You agree to submit only your original works to the American News/Farm Forum (American News Co.). You will retain the right to use your work in any way that does not damage its credibility for the American News/Farm Forum (American News Co.), including submitting it to other publications outside Aberdeen, South Dakota, submitting it to other publications in Aberdeen, South Dakota three days after it appears in the American News/Farm Forum (American News Co.), and making compilations or books of your work.

If the photo submitted was taken and is copyrighted by a professional photographer, you must give him or her credit in your submission. If no professional is given credit, the American News will accept the entry as taken by the owner(s) listed on the entry form.

Eligibility
Employees of the American News Co. and members of their immediate family may submit entries for viewing, however, entries submitted by employees or members of their immediate family are not eligible to win.
