We are going to start a FAQ/user guide to the new forum in hopes that this will help everyone make the transition to the this forum easier. As we get questions we will respond to them in a post as normal but if we get the same question abunch we will update the forum. Also we have added the list of features that the forum currently has. Hope this helps.
----How To "Add New" Topic----
1. If you want to add a new topic to be discussed just click on the "ADD NEW" next to the word Topic.
2. Then type in a title for it and type the first post and click "Send Post"
3. There you have it a new topic.
----How To Post to a Topic----
1. First click on the topic that you want to post on.
2. Then scroll down will you see the text window. Type in your message
3. If you want to attach any images or files click on the "Browse" button down below where you just typed, select the file and click ok then down below click upload.
4. Then click on the "Send Post"
5. And your done. Now you can only post once every 30 seconds so keep that in mind.
----Adding topics to your favorites----
1. When you are in any topic you will see "Add this topic to your favorites (?)" just a few lines below the title of the topic.
2. By clicking on this you will add this topic to your favorites, then if you go into your profile, and click on edit at the top you will see "Favorite Notification" if you activate this then click update profile near the bottom you will get emailed any time someone posts on the favorites you have selected.
----Features----
Ignore Member – (the blue “Ignore” on the bottom of each post)This feature allows you to not see posts by other members that you don’t get along with. You cannot block moderators or administrators. Any ignored members will show up on your profile so you have the option to remove them if you change your mind.
Report Member – (the red “Report” on the bottom of each post) This feature will allow you to report any post that you feel is inappropriate so that moderators and administrators will be able to review the post. When you click on “Report” you will have to give your reason why it is inappropriate.
Allow Images – This feature will allow you to post images with your posts.
Attachments – This feature will allow you to post attachments with your posts.
Post Counter – This feature provides the color coded names, member status, dates they joined and the number of posts they have. The more you post and the amount of time you have been on the forum then your status will change automatically.
Post Notification –This gives you the option to get email notifications to posts on your favorite topics.
Reputation – This gives you points when you post, allows you to give other members reputation if you think their posts are good by clicking on the the “+” next to reputation and putting in a number without a plus or minus next to it. Also if posts are bad it gives moderators and administrators the choice to give negative reputation. This is just another way for people to see how much you are posting.
C*nsor - This is a feature that will change all swear words and most inappropriate words in to asterisks. Just one more way we are trying to keep it clean.
Smiles – This feature is next to the post window where you type your posts. It gives you the ability to add a range of smiley faces to your posts.
Polls - This gives you the ability to create polls for your posts. You choose the questions, set the choices and start the poll.
Bozo Users – This gives administrators the ability to put a “Bozo” tag onto a user. That users can still post but they will be the only one that can see their posts. This will be used for people how keep causing issues, violating the terms of service and other such offences.
